1. Working principle of EDI module
EDI (Electrodeionization) is an innovative water treatment technology that combines
electrodialysis with ion exchange in a membrane separation desal process. It is a high-tech,
environmentally friendly technology. The EDI water purification equipment has advantages such as
continuous water output, no need for acid and alk regeneration, and unattended operation.
LC PURE EDI is a process that uses direct current to allow positively and negatively charged
ions in water to move in a directed manner under the of a DC electric field, and through the anion
and cation exchange membranes installed on both sides of the fresh water chamber. Cations
are attracted by the electrode and pass through the cation membrane to be discharged from
the concentrated water chamber, while anions are attracted by the positive electrode and pass
through the anion membrane to be discharged from the concentrated water chamber. This process
continuously produces ultra-pure water. This technology can continuously and stably produce
high-purity water and-pure water with a resistivity of 5-18 megohms (MΩ.cm).
EDI technology has gradually replaced mixed beds as a precision treatment equipment in pure
water preparation systems. EDI technology has good environmental protection characteristics,
is to operate and use, and is increasingly recognized by people. It is also widely used in various
industries such as medicine, electronics, semiconductors, photics, power, chemical industry,
and vehicle urea purification. Its emergence is a revolutionary advancement in water treatment

2. Advantages of the EDI Module Process

EDI modules can continuously produce ultrapure water, eliminating the need for complex regeneration operations during production.

The use of a mixed bed reduces the need for many mixing and standby cycles.
