What is MBR curtain membrane?
MBR curtain membrane refers to MBR hollow fiber membrane. Because the appearance of hollow fiber membrane is similar to that of "door curtains" and other items, it is called curtain membrane. Hollow fiber membrane is mainly made of PVDF material, which has excellent antioxidant and anti pollution performance. It uses pressure as the filtration principle and is commonly used in the treatment of sewage, drinking water, and seawater desalination.
Working principle of MBR hollow fiber membrane:
The work of hollow fiber membranes is mainly based on filtration as the separation principle, with a filtration accuracy in the range of 0.005-0.01 μ m. During operation, asymmetric microporous structures and semi permeable membrane media are used, relying on the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane as the driving force to filter in a cross flow manner, allowing water to flow into the membrane module and filter impurities outside the membrane module. Hollow fiber membranes can effectively remove impurities such as particles, polymer organic substances, colloids, and bacterial bed layers in water, achieving the purpose of separation, classification, purification, and concentration.
