Product Description
EV Battery Manufacturing Ultrapure Water Veolia MK-7 Suez EDI Stacks 18 MOhm-cm 7.0 M3/H Electrodeionization
Lithium-ion battery gigafactories depend on ultrapure water with resistivity above 16 MOhm-cm for electrode slurry preparation, electrolyte dilution support, cell washing and critical cooling loops. The Veolia MK-7 Suez EDI stack, the workhorse of the E-Cell electrodeionization family, converts reverse osmosis permeate into 18 MOhm-cm quality water continuously at a nominal flow of 7.0 m3/h, without the acid and caustic regeneration that conventional mixed-bed plants require.
Because battery plants run around the clock, the MK-7 is engineered for predictable, unattended operation. Counter-current flow keeps the ion exchange beds clean even when feed water hardness drifts, while the sealed stack construction eliminates the leaks and chemical handling typical of resin-based polishing systems. Each stack is factory tested and delivered as a complete unit ready for manifold connection to your EDI frame.
Key Features- Continuous electrodeionization: uses electrical current instead of acid and caustic regeneration, cutting chemical consumption, waste neutralization cost and operator exposure risk.
- 18 MOhm-cm product quality: delivers resistivity of at least 16 MOhm-cm with sodium below 3 ppb and silica as low as 5 ppb, matching the strictest battery plant specifications.
- High recovery operation: recovers up to 97% of the feed water, minimizing RO system size and reducing wastewater volume in water-stressed regions.
- Robust industrial construction: a 165 kg sealed stack with a 30 x 61 x 74 cm envelope, designed for years of continuous service with minimal maintenance.
- Modular scale-out: multiple stacks are paralleled on one frame to reach 20, 50 or 100 m3/h, so capacity grows with your production line.
- Lowest operating energy: the E-Cell design operates at low voltage and current, keeping power consumption among the lowest in the EDI market.
- Global quality marks: CE, RoHS, CSA and EAC marked and manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities.

Battery plants install the MK-7 in central ultrapure water loops serving electrode production, electrolyte make-up areas and high-pressure boiler feed for clean steam generation. The same stacks polish water for cell assembly cleanrooms where ionic contamination below parts-per-billion level is mandatory.
The modular design is equally suited to power electronics factories, copper foil producers and cathode precursor plants, where water quality must remain stable while production demand fluctuates between day and night shifts.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEvery MK-7 stack is individually packed in an export-grade wooden crate with internal foam supports, protecting the electrodes and ion exchange compartments during sea and air freight. Standard lead time is 5-8 working days for stock units, and each shipment includes the stack certificate, operating manual and Winflows projection support from our engineering team.
Stacks are covered by the standard prorated warranty and are backed by our application engineers, who help you size the correct number of modules and verify guaranteed water quality before you order.
