Product Overview

DuPont™ AmberLite™ MB20 H/OH is a high-purity, nuclear-grade mixed bed ion exchange resin consisting of a hydrogen-form strong acid cation exchanger and a hydroxide-form strong base anion exchanger. It is designed for critical demineralization applications requiring extremely low ionic leakage, including power generation, electronics, and pharmaceutical industries. The resin delivers excellent chemical and thermal stability, high operating capacity, and easy separation upon exhaustion. Formerly supplied as part of high-performance mixed bed systems.

Operating Capacity Estimation Formula:

BV=500/TDS (meq/L) or kgr/ft³=187000/TDS (ppm CaCO₃)

  • BV (Bed Volume): Liters of water (with TDS in meq/L) that can be treated per liter of resin.
  • kgr/ft³: Grains per cubic foot of resin when TDS is expressed as ppm CaCO₃.
Recommended Operating Conditions:
  • Temperature Range: 5 - 60°C (41 - 140°F)
  • pH Range: 0 - 14
  • Treated Water Quality: Conductivity < 0.1 μS/cm, neutral pH
