Product Description
Key Features
The DOW FilmTec™ LC LE PRO-4040 Reverse Osmosis Membranes deliver high-quality water at low pressure, even under harsh water conditions. These membranes utilize DuPont's innovative, proprietary technology for low-energy applications, offering significant benefits in both efficiency and performance:
-
Industry-Leading Active Area (94 sqft): Ensures reduced fouling due to lower operating flux while still achieving higher flow rates.
-
High Salt Rejection: Operates at low pressures in harsh water conditions, offering exceptional salt rejection.
-
Effective Cleaning Performance: Features the widest cleaning pH range (1-13) and outstanding chemical tolerance, ensuring durability and reliability.
Key Applications
The LC LE PRO-4040 Reverse Osmosis Membranes are ideal for various light industrial applications, particularly those requiring high-quality permeate water. Typical uses include:
-
Harsh Feed Water Conditions
-
Drinking Water: Suitable for refilling stations, bottling plants, hotels, schools, and institutions.
Typical Properties
| Product Part Number | Dry Permeate Flow Rate (gpd / m³/d) | Min. Salt Rejection (%) | Stabilized Salt Rejection (%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| LC LE PRO-4040 | 2600 (9.8) | 99.0 | 99.5 |
-
Test Conditions: 2000 ppm NaCl, 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery, pH 8, applied pressure 150 psig. Individual permeate flows may vary +/- 20%.

General Information
To ensure the longevity and performance of the DOW FilmTec™ LC LE PRO-4040 Reverse Osmosis Membranes, please follow these operational guidelines:
-
Keep elements moist at all times after initial wetting.
-
For successful operation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) membrane systems, refer to FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis / Nanofiltration Elements Operation Excellence and Limiting Conditions Tech Fact.
-
To prevent biological growth during system shutdowns, immerse membrane elements in a preservative solution.
-
Maximum pressure drop across an entire pressure vessel (housing) is 50 psi (3.4 bar).
-
Avoid static permeate-side backpressure and discard permeate obtained from the first hour of operation.
Important Information
Proper start-up of the Reverse Osmosis Membranes is crucial for optimal performance. Follow the recommended procedures to prevent damage from overfeeding or hydraulic shock. The FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis Membranes Technical Manual provides detailed guidance.
-
System Start-Up: Ensure all system checks are completed before initiating start-up, including membrane pretreatment and instrument calibration.
Regulatory Note
This product may be subject to drinking water application restrictions in some countries. Please verify application status before use and sale.
