Industrial Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System
The capacity of industrial water purification system ranges from 38m3/day to 7500m3/day. If you need a water purification system with less than this capacity, please refer to our commercial water treatment system.
All industrial reverse osmosis water treatment systems start from a booster pump to deliver raw water to a pretreatment tank. The size and number of pretreatment tanks depend on the capacity and can be changed. Also depending on the raw water source, the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) material can be changed. At Chunke, if the water source is tap water or low TDS fresh water, we can use FRP, stainless steel 304 or 316. If the salt content and TDS are high, due to corrosion, we use FRP or carbon steel material for the pretreatment tank. Pretreatment includes sand media filter tank, activated carbon filter media tank and softener tank with ion exchange resin inside, which are very important for reverse osmosis water filtration.
Pretreatment is used to remove large suspended solids, iron, turbidity, unwanted color, bad taste, chlorine, sediment, organic pollutants, odor. In pre-treatment, we can control the industrial water purification flow manually or automatically.
The pre-treated water goes into the cartridge filter housing, we call it safety filter, most of the industrial water treatment system applications we use stainless steel 304 or 316 material, but if the water is very salty, like brackish water or seawater, we can use carbon steel, FRP or PVC plastic cartridge filter housing or bag filter housing. There are 1µm or 5 µm PP filters in the cartridge filter housing for industrial water treatment systems.
After the cartridge filter housing, the water goes into the membrane pressure vessel with a high pressure pump, you can choose the brand of the high pressure pump and it allows you to adjust your budget. Inside the membrane housing depends on the capacity, we have 4040 or 8040 membranes. Most of our projects use brands such as DOW Filmtec, Toray, Vontron, Hydranautics, LG for the reverse osmosis membrane.
The membrane in the industrial reverse osmosis water purification system is the most important part. They block substances larger than 0.001µm and with molecular weights up to 150-250 Dalton. It consists of impurities, particles, sugars, proteins, bacteria, dyes, organic and inorganic solids.
In addition, the RO water filtration system can add chemical agents such as antiscalants (antiscalants), antifouling agents, pH adjusters, sterilization disinfectants during pre-treatment or post-treatment.
We check the water analysis report of our customers, and sometimes due to scaling and fouling problems, we can use a CIP (cleaning in place) system, which can clean the membrane in the membrane housing and keep the membrane clean, thereby extending the life of the membrane.
