Features
1. High filtration accuracy: The SFP2880 ultrafiltration membrane has a filtration pore size of 0.03 μm, which can effectively remove bacteria, viruses, particulate matter and colloids, etc., ensuring high water quality.
2. Oxidation resistance and pollution resistance: It adopts oxidation-resistant and pollution-resistant polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) material, which has strong chemical stability and is particularly resistant to oxidant cleaning. It is suitable for harsh environments such as wastewater treatment and has a long service life.
3. Low energy consumption and room temperature operation: No phase change occurs during the separation process, and the energy consumption is low; it can be operated at room temperature, which is suitable for the concentration or purification of heat-sensitive substances, such as juice, biological agents and certain drugs.
4. Low-pressure operation: Only low pressure is used as the driving force, the equipment and process flow are simple, and it is easy to operate, manage and maintain.
5. Wide range of applications: It is suitable for the separation of substances with a solute molecular weight of 1000~500,000 Daltons or a solute size of about 0.005~0.1μm. In addition, by using membranes with different molecular weight cutoffs, molecular weight classification of each component in the mixed liquid can be achieved.
6. High separation efficiency: Suitable for industrial wastewater treatment with a system capacity greater than 50m³/hr, with high separation efficiency and can adapt to a wider range of influent water quality.

Operating Parameters
Ensuring that the UF system is properly started is critical to preparing the membrane for operation and preventing potential membrane damage. Following the correct startup sequence is essential to maintaining system parameters within design specifications, helping to achieve water quality and productivity goals.
Before beginning the startup procedure, membrane preconditioning, membrane module installation, instrumentation calibration, and system checks must be completed per the guidelines outlined in the product technical manual.
To prevent membrane damage, sudden pressure changes during startup, shutdown, cleaning, or other sequences should be avoided. Before startup, flush the UF system thoroughly to eliminate any remaining shipping solution. In addition, purge any residual air from the system before commencing operation.
Start the unit manually, with the goal of achieving an initial permeate flow rate of 60% of the design capacity. Depending on the application, it may be necessary to discard the permeate obtained during initial operation. Refer to the product technical manual for detailed instructions.

If operating limits and guidelines given in this bulletin are not strictly followed, the limited warranty (Form No. 795-00027) will be null and void.
To prevent biological growth during system shutdowns, it is recommended that preservative solution be injected into the membrane modules.
Regulatory note NSF/ANSI 61 certified drinking water modules require specific conditioning procedures prior to producing potable water. Please refer to the product technical manual flushing section for specific procedures. Drinking water modules may be subjected to additional regulatory restrictions in some countries. Please check local regulatory guidelines and application status before use and sale.
